Terms of Service & Event Policies

Mon Petit Mojave Foundation is committed to providing a safe, accessible, and welcoming environment for all community members. By RSVPing for and/or attending a Sounds and Storytelling Drive-In Concert, you agree to the following Terms of Service and event policies.

Management reserves the right to refuse admission or remove any individual who fails to comply with these terms.

1. RSVP & Admission Policy

All drive-in concerts are private, RSVP-required events.

Submitting an RSVP constitutes a request to attend and does not guarantee admission. Attendance is confirmed only upon receipt of a confirmation email from Mon Petit Mojave Foundation. Individuals not listed on the confirmed guest list will be denied entry.

A signed waiver of liability is required for all attendees. Waivers are distributed electronically in advance and may be signed onsite if necessary. Entry will not be permitted without a signed waiver.

2. Vehicle & Parking Policies

All vehicles must comply with staff direction when parking. Parking assignments are determined by event staff and are final.

  • Speed limit on property is 5 MPH at all times.

  • A designated fire safety lane must remain clear at all times.

  • Vehicles must remain turned off during the performance unless otherwise directed.

  • Headlights must remain off during performances. Flashing headlights briefly as applause is permitted.

  • Interior lights should be minimized to avoid disruption.

  • Parking brake must be engaged at all times.

Chairs and blankets must be placed directly in front of your vehicle and outside of traffic lanes. Placement that occupies additional parking spaces is not permitted.

Late arrivals may be assigned alternate parking locations at staff discretion. Clear stage views are not guaranteed.

Vehicles emitting excessive fumes, modified exhaust, or diesel emissions may be repositioned or required to turn off engines if complaints arise.

3. Attendee Conduct & Safety

Attendees must remain in, on, or within the immediate perimeter of their vehicle except when using restrooms or speaking with staff.

For safety reasons:

  • Closed-toe shoes must be worn at all times.

  • Children must remain under direct supervision of a guardian at all times.

  • No climbing on vehicles.

  • No running on the grounds.

  • Walking the grounds during performances is restricted to restroom access only.

Guests must avoid disturbing natural desert habitat, including Joshua Trees and surrounding vegetation. Wildlife awareness is advised.

4. Prohibited Activities & Items

The following are strictly prohibited:

  • Illegal substances

  • Cooking, grilling, open flames, fire pits, fireworks, or sparklers

  • Laser pointers

  • Shining lights toward the stage (except brief vehicle headlight applause)

  • Vandalism or destruction of property

  • Disruptive, aggressive, or unsafe behavior

Intoxication or behavior that disrupts the event experience may result in removal from the premises.

Regulations prohibit on-site grilling or open flame devices.

Smoking is permitted only if ashes are contained and cigarette waste is removed from the premises.

5. Food, Beverage & Waste

Outside food and non-alcoholic beverages are permitted. Guests are encouraged to bring sufficient water.

All trash must be removed upon departure. Attendees are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of their area.

6. Cancellation & Event Modification

Events may be delayed, modified, or canceled due to weather conditions (including high winds), safety concerns, equipment failure, artist circumstances, power disruption, force majeure, or other unforeseen conditions.

Mon Petit Mojave Foundation makes no guarantees regarding rescheduling of canceled events.

7. Assumption of Risk & Limitation of Liability

By entering the premises, attendees voluntarily assume all risks associated with attendance, including but not limited to:

  • Uneven terrain and desert environmental conditions

  • Wildlife encounters

  • Weather exposure

  • Vehicle-related movement

  • Sound levels associated with live music

  • Actions of third parties

Mon Petit Mojave Foundation and Yucca Creative LLC are not liable for injury, illness, property damage, theft, vehicle damage, acts of nature, or other losses occurring on the premises.

Attendance is at your own risk.

8. Third-Party Vendors & Partners

Attendees engaging with third-party vendors, partners, food pop-ups, or subcontractors do so at their own discretion and risk.

Mon Petit Mojave Foundation and Yucca Creative LLC are not responsible for products, services, or transactions conducted by third parties.

9. Media Release

By attending the event, you grant Mon Petit Mojave Foundation permission to photograph, record, and use your likeness, image, and voice in promotional materials, marketing, grant reporting, archival documentation, and other communications without compensation.

10. Enforcement

Mon Petit Mojave Foundation reserves the right to remove any individual who violates these Terms of Service or whose behavior compromises the safety, comfort, or enjoyment of others.

These events take place on private property. Entry constitutes agreement to these policies.
